The export of 22 million tons of food from Ukrainian ports is being blocked, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said after a meeting with Portuguese Prime Minister António Costa, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Interfax Ukraine news agency.

"Russia has blocked all maritime opportunities for the export of food products: our grain, barley, and sunflower. The Russian Federation is blocking 22 million tons," he said.

“Frankly, they are stealing it slowly. Grain is being taken somewhere from the ports. We know what ‘somewhere’ means,” Zelenskyy said.

According to him, Ukraine is working on this issue at the level of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Zelenskyi noted that there are various options to open the ports. According to him, one of the options is military. "Therefore, we are requesting the appropriate weapons from our partners, and Portugal is no exception," he said.
