The first ship carrying Ukrainian iron ore has left the Port of Swinoujscie (Poland), the CFTS portal reports, citing the Nakolei publication.

The iron-ore cargo was delivered by rail and then shipped to the recipient in Algeria.

"More than 50,000 tons of iron ore from Ukraine are currently in the port’s warehouses. We are preparing to handle cargo under commercial contracts with partners from Ukraine and we are also implementing an investment program that includes preparation of warehouse sites and purchase of mechanized equipment," the port’s head Karol Bowżyk said.

In addition, 17,000 tons of Ukrainian corn are expected to be loaded onto a ship in the port.
