Yevhen Dykhne, who held positions at Lviv Airlines and the State Railway Administration (Ukrzaliznytsia), may be appointed to replace Serhii Hombolevskyi, who has resigned as the general director of the Boryspil international airport.
An informed source in the industry told the Center for Transport Strategies, the candidate is currently signing the documentation necessary for his appointment.
Dykhne previously held the post of chief engineer at Ukrzaliznytsia’s main passenger department and the post of general director of Lviv Airlines.
As reported earlier, Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk instructed Minister of Infrastructure Maksym Burbak on September 17 to determine whether Hombolevskyi was fit to hold the post of general director of the airport. Yatseniuk demanded an investigation to determine whether a competition for the right to provide taxi services was organized legally. Hombolevskyi resigned the next day.
