The Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) has launched an Intercity train between Uzhhorod and Kyiv.

The CFTS portal reported this, citing the Mukachevo online publication.

The Kyiv-Uzhhorod train No. 749 is the fastest train from Kyiv to the Zakarpattia region’s regional center (13 hours and 8 minutes).

The train departs from Kyiv at 12:57 and arrives in Uzhhorod at 02:05. In the opposite direction, the train departs from Uzhhorod at 04:56 and arrives in Kyiv at 18:30.

This train makes only eight stops, five of which are in the Zakarpattia region (Volovets, Svaliava, Mukacheve, Chop-Pasazhyrskyi, and Uzhhorod).

The new train will offer both first-class and second-class seats. It also has sleeping and compartment cars.

Ticket prices for a journey from Mukacheve to Kyiv are UAH 821 for first-class seats and UAH 411 for second-class seats. Prices also depend on the day of the week.
