As the CFTS reported earlier, the Ukrainian Railways public joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) signed contracts with the Kryukov Railcar Building Works for supply of 21 passenger cars in 2016. Ukrzaliznytsia also ordered 13 transformer cars, 7 compartment cars, and 1 sleeping car from the Kryukov Railcar Building Works. However, the Kryukov Railcar Building Works was unable to manufacture all these railcars before the end of last year. Ukrzaliznytsia was able to replenish its fleet with only nine new passenger cars in 2016. The Night Express train that operates on the Kyiv–Ivano-Frankivsk route was assembled from the delivered transformer railcars.

The Kryukov Railcar Building Works delivered 350 new gondola cars to Ukrzaliznytsia last year.
