The Kyiv international airport (Zhulyany) handled 2.5 million passengers from the beginning of 2018 to November 13, and it aims to reach 2.8 million passengers by the end of this year, the airport’s press service announced.

According to the airport, it handled 1.852 million passengers in the entire 2017, which was 64.2% more than the number it handled in 2016.

As reported earlier, passenger traffic through the airport increased by 57.3% to 2.165 million in the first nine months of 2018, compared with the same period of the previous year.

The airport lowered its passenger traffic target for this year to 2.6 million exactly one month ago because of the departure of the FlyDubai airline. The airport is now aiming for 2.8 million passengers by the end of December. The airport aims to increase passenger traffic by 25-30% in 2019.
