The Kyiv airport handled 1,590,300 passengers in the period of January-July 2019, which is exactly 6% more than the number of passengers it handled in the corresponding period of 2018.
The airport announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
The airport handled 1,549,100 passengers on international flights and 41,200 on domestic flights during this period.
The airport also handled 17,008 flights in the period of January-July 2019, which is 1% more than the number of flights it handled in the responding period of 2018. Of these, 14,246 were international flights and 2,762 domestic.
The most popular international destinations from the Kyiv airport in the first seven months of 2019 were Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt), Warsaw (Poland), Minsk (Belarus), Ankara (Turkey), Vienna (Austria), Rome (Italy), and Berlin (Germany). The most popular domestic destinations were Odesa, Zaporizhia, and Lviv.
As the CFTS portal reported earlier, the Kyiv airport handled 1,332,300 passengers in in the first half of 2019. This means that the volume of passenger traffic through the airport was 258,000 in July (the figure for June is 248,500).
