Passenger traffic through the Kyiv airport increased by 51.9% in 2018, compared with 2017, the CFTS portal reports, citing official data from the airport.

The total number of passengers handled by Kyiv’s second largest airport was 2.812 million.

This figure includes 2.728 million passengers on international flights and 84,800 on domestic flights.

The number of flights handled by the airport was 30,248, which is 30.1% more than the number it handled in the corresponding period of 2017. These include 25,423 international flights and 4,825 domestic flights.

"The most popular international destinations in 2018 were Minsk (Belarus), Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt), Warsaw (Poland), Ankara (Turkey), Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Antalya (Turkey), and Rome (Italy); the most popular domestic destinations were Odesa, Zaporizhia, and Lviv," the Kyiv airport said in a statement.

As reported earlier, the Kyiv airport aims to increase its passenger volume by 25-30% in 2019.
