The Kyiv subway has earned more than UAH 20 million from lease of space since the beginning of this year.

The Kyiv subway announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.

“The subway earned more than UAH 20 million from lease of space in the first eight months of 2019. Half of that amount was transferred into the city budget,” the company said.

The Kyiv subway currently has 191 property lease agreements. These agreements are for lease of commercial space, ATMs, newspaper vending machines, etc.

As the CFTS portal reported, Kyiv Smart Card readers have already begun operation at 15 subway stations in Kyiv. Such machines are expected to begin operation at all subway stations before the end of October.
