Kyiv-Uzhhorod flights, which the Motor Sich airlines performed until May 10, will be resumed on June 3.

This was announced by the Zakarpattia regional council’s head Mykhailo Rivis, the CFTS portal reports, citing mukachevo.net.

"Briefly on the agreements that were reached with the Motor Sich company: flights from June 3; three times a week – Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The frequency can be increased to daily flights if necessary. Departure from Uzhhorod at 06:45, return from Kyiv at 20:15. Ticket prices from UAH 2,700," Rivis said.

According to him, Motor Sich will operate direct flights from Uzhhorod to Kyiv and back, without transfers in Lviv, as was previously the case.

In addition, according to Rivis, the timetable for the Kyiv-Uzhhorod flights will be synchronized with the timetable for Kyiv-Odesa flights.

The mechanism for compensating the carrier for possible losses due to the unprofitability of this route is currently being discussed.

"After a lively business discussion, it was decided that this issue will be discussed at the 15th session of the regional council with the aim of finding a mechanism for financially supporting Kyiv-Uzhhorod flights … and increasing the frequency of the flights. The state of affairs will be analyzed after one month and the optimum decision will be made," an official press release by the Zakarpattia regional council after a meeting with representatives of Motor Sich states.

Kyiv-Uzhhorod flights were performed from March 15 to May 10, with transfers in Lviv.
