The attack on civilian targets in downtown Vinnytsia was conducted with Kalibr cruise missiles launched from a Russian submarine in the Black Sea.
The Ukrainian Air Force Command’s spokesperson Yurii Ihnat announced this, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Novoye Vremya publication.
"The Russian occupation forces attacked downtown Vinnytsia with Kalibr cruise missiles launched from a submarine in the Black Sea at around 11 a.m. on 14 July," he said.
According to Ihnat, two of the enemy missiles were destroyed in the air by the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ anti-aircraft missile units.
The Russian missiles hit an office building. Nearby residential buildings were also damaged.
According to the latest information, 24 people, including three children, were killed in the attack on Vinnytsia.
