The Motor Sich company (Zaporozhe) has denied a statement by representatives of the self-proclaimed People's Republic of Donetsk that they stopped the operation of the Snezhnoye engineering works (Donetsk region), which is part of the company, on Thursday, the Interfax Ukraine news agency reports.
"It is not true. Motor Sich is in daily contact with the Snezhnoye engineering works. The engineering works is operating normally, and it continues to produce and deliver products," Anatolii Malysh, Motor Sich’s director of public relations and supervisory board chairman, told the news agency on Friday.
The Snezhnoye engineering works is a specialized enterprise that produces blades and disks for gas turbine engines. As part of Motor Sich, the enterprise participates in production of 55 types and modifications of aircraft engines.
Motor Sich is one of the world's largest manufacturers of aircraft engines and industrial gas turbines. It exports its products to 106 countries. The Motor Sich helicopter design bureau was created in in Zaporozhe in 2012.
