The SkyUp airline will start operations in Ukraine in April 2018, the CFTS correspondent reports. The carrier will operate international charter flights to resorts that are popular among Ukrainians during its first year of operation. It also plans to launch regular flights within Ukraine as well as on international routes.

The airline will operate charter flights from Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, and Odesa to 16 destinations, including Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman, Sharm-el-Sheikh, Hurghada, Burgas, Rimini, Tirana, Varna, Larnaca, Tivat, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Tenerife, and Dubai.

SkyUp plans to start performing domestic flights in May or June. Initially, it plans to perform Kyiv-Odesa, Kharkiv-Odesa, and Lviv-Odesa flights.

The airline did not indicate the approximate date of launch of international regular flights, but they will begin on the routes Kyiv-Dubai, Kyiv-Larnaca, and Kyiv-Barcelona in 2018.

"The cost of all regular flights will be determined based on the low-cost model without luggage and additional services," the airline said.

The SkyUp airline will use Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft with 189 seats. The airline will have a fleet of four aircraft of this type next year.

The SkyUp Airlines limited liability company was registered in Kyiv in June 2017. It was founded by ACS-Ukraine LLC, which also owns the JoinUp tour operator.
