The Nibulon agricultural company exported 655,000 tons of agricultural products in the first quarter of 2023.
The company announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
For comparison, the company exported only 751,800 tons of agricultural products in the period of March-November 2022.
"The construction of the Basarabeasca branch, which has become an important transport hub, facilitated the increase in exports. Approximately 64% of the grain that the company exported to the global market this year was specifically because of the new enterprise in the city of Izmail," Nibulon said.
The volume of agricultural products that the company exported in the first quarter of 2023 included 341,000 tons of corn, 270,000 tons of wheat, 28,000 tons of barley, and 16,000 tons of other crops.
The company exported 417,000 tons of agricultural products through Izmail and 238,000 tons through the Black Sea "grain corridor."
As reported earlier, the Nibulon transshipment terminal in Izmail became operational in September last year.
