The Kharkiv international airport handled 46,900 passengers in January, which is 45% more than the number of passengers it handled in the first month of last year.
According to information from the airport, it handled 34,100 passengers on international flights (a 55% increase) and 12,900 on domestic flights (25%).
As before, most of the passenger traffic through the airport was generated by flights to Istanbul (operated by Pegasus Airlines and Atlasglobal), Kyiv (Ukraine International Airlines), Minsk (Belavia), Warsaw (LOT), Kutaisi (Ukraine International Airlines), and Tel Aviv (Ukraine International Airlines).
In addition to regular flights, charter flights were also popular, especially charter flights to Sharm el-Sheikh, which were operated by the airlines Windrose, Azur Air Ukraine, and Bravo.
