Passenger traffic through the Lviv international airport reduced by 16% to 78,500 in August, compared with the corresponding period of 2013. The airport handled 68,400 passengers on international flights and 10,100 on domestic flights, the airport announced in a statement on its Facebook page.
The airport handled 845 flights in August: 663 international and 182 domestic.
The most popular destinations in August were Antalya, Istanbul, Kiev (Boryspil), Tivat, and Warsaw.
The airport opened baggage storage lockers and commissioned a parking area in its landside area in August 2014.
The Lvov international airport is located 6 kilometers south of the city center. The airport’s new terminal complex, which was built ahead of the 2012 European football championship, has 39,000 square meters of space, nine departure gates, 28 check-in desks, two self-check-in desks, 18 passport control desks, and 12 aviation security points
