Passenger traffic through Ukrainian airports increased by 5.9% to 12.945 million in the period of January-October, compared with the corresponding period of last year. The press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure announced this in a statement.

International passenger traffic totaled 10.890 million while domestic passenger traffic totaled 2.055 million.

Ukrainian airports handled 1.332 million passengers in October, which was 13% more than they handled in October 2012.

Ukrainian airline companies transported 6.945 million passengers in January-October, which was 2.3% fewer than they transported a year earlier. They transported 5.925 million passengers on international routes and 1.020 million on domestic routes.

The leading Ukrainian airline companies in the first 10 months of the year were Ukraine International Airlines (3.677 million passengers), UTair Ukraine (824,000 passengers), Windrose (732,000 passengers), Wizz Air Ukraine (712,000 passengers), and Air Onix (292,000 passengers).

In addition, Ukrainian airline companies transported 80,000 tons of cargo in January-October and 7,600 tons in October.
