About 175 kilometers of roadway on six highways will be repaired in 2017 with a loan provided by Poland.
The relevant decision was made after the work of a Ukrainian-Polish working group on transport and formalized in the form of a protocol, which was signed by Poland’s Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Construction Jerzy Szmit and Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Yurii Lavreniuk.
The CFTS portal reported this, citing information from the State Road Service (Ukravtodor).
The document provides for repair of the following roads: O 142001 Yavoriv-Grushev (km 0 + 000 – km 19 + 900); T 14-03 Grushev-Nemyriv (km 0 + 000 - km 12 + 200); T 14-18 Nizhankovichi - Sambir - Drohobych - Stryi (km 0 + 000 - km 46 + 435); T 14-04 Chervonohrad - Rava-Russka (km 3 + 137 - km 56 + 307); T 14-01 Smilnytsia border crossing - Stryi - Sambir (km 0 + 000 - km 29 + 960); H-22 Ustilug - Lutsk - Rivne (km 0 + 420 - km 13 + 420).
EUR 68 million will be spent on overhaul of these roads.
As the CFTS previously reported, Ukravtodor’s acting Chairman Slawomir Nowak plans to lure foreign road experts and investors to Ukraine.
"Without foreign investors, without foreign technology, without vehicles, people, without engineers from abroad, problems could arise," Nowak said while discussing the prospects for the road sector.
