Production of freight cars in Russia reduced by 17.4% to 54,800 in the period of January-November 2013, compared with the same period of 2012. The Interfax news agency reported this, citing Russia’s Federal Statistics Service.
In November 2013, production increased by 3.1% compared with November 2012 and by 1.8% compared with October 2013 (the Federal Statistics Service did not provide absolute figures).
Production of mainline electric locomotives increased by 22.4% to 360 units in the period of January-November and practically doubled in November compared with November 2012. Production of passenger cars reduced by 15.9% to 639 units in November but increased by 3.1% compared with November 2012.
