A railway bridge donated by Great Britain has been erected in the Kharkiv region.

Serhii Leschenko, a member of the supervisory board of the Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia), announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.

The bridge was erected as part of the restoration of railway bridges destroyed in the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine.

"One of the smaller damaged bridges has already been replaced with the help of Britain. It is the first of 10 bridges that will be installed in Ukraine to replace the destroyed ones within the framework of the friendship with Britain," the statement said.

As reported earlier, Network Rail Infrastructure Limited (Britain) has donated modular bridge spans, support structures, tools, earth-moving equipment, as well as cargo loading and unloading equipment, to Ukrzaliznytsia with the authorization of the British Department for Transport.
