The Kiev city administration has announced that passengers buying long-term tickets for public transport will spend an average of about UAH 1.5 per trip.

"We are not interested in a one-time trip. We are interested in a systematic user of public transport. He is our reliable partner, and we want him to receive maximum preference. We have built a model under which the average trip for a permanent user will cost UAH 1.5," the Kiev city administration’s deputy head Mykhailo Kostiuk told reporters.

According to him, tickets will cost UAH 3 for people paying for single trips. "Although, there exists the opinion that it should be UAH 5," he added.

In addition, according to Kostiuk, the city authorities are currently completing the final calculations of the average cost of a trip for holders of annual travel tickets, which, according to Kostiuk, will be even lower. He also added that the Kiev city administration planned to present a new pricing system last week, but it could not hold public hearings because of the political events in the country.
