SkyUp Airlines took delivery of another Boeing aircraft on October 10. It is the airline company’s ninth aircraft and the largest in its fleet.
This was announced by SkyUp Airlines’ co-owner Oleksandr Alba, the CFTS portal reports.
"Yes, SkyUp Airlines’ ninth aircraft - a Boeing 737-900 ER with the tail number UR-SQI — is currently flying to us from London. It is the largest option in the Next Generation family. Our configuration has 215 seats. In aviation terms, it is in its prime – born in 2008. Compared with the 737-800, the 900 is 12% more economical, so its routes will lead to the most popular destinations," Alba wrote on Facebook before the aircraft landed at the Boryspil airport.
According to the airline, the aircraft has already passed all the necessary checks, and it is ready for transportation of passengers.
In addition to the new aircraft, SkyUp Airlines’ currently has a fleet of six Boeing 737-800 and two Boeing 737-700 aircraft.
The airline company will add one more aircraft to its fleet with by the end of 2019. Delivery of two more is planned for April 2020.
