The State Aviation Service has withdrawn the operating certificates of three airports - the Donetsk airport on June 3, the Lugansk airport on June 11, and the Mariupol airport on June 19 - the Interfax Ukraine news agency reports.
The decision to withdraw the certificates was made because of the tense situation in the east of the country and the inability to ensure the safety of passengers and full control of all technological processes.
Until now, these airports had been closed via the relevant notes.
At the same time, the space over the Donbas is open to flights. According to the State Aviation Service, the Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise (UkSATSE) is ensuring complete safety of air traffic over the territory.
There are restrictions on the movement of aircraft in the 100-kilometer border area, where flights are banned at altitudes below 7,900 meters.
