The State Border Service has introduced a simplified system of admission of Ukrainian citizens into Ukraine at the Boryspil, Zhuliany (both in Kyiv), Kharkiv, Lviv, and Odesa airports. The State Border Service announced this in a statement on its website.

The system was tested at the Boryspil airport for a few months. It significantly simplifies the admission of citizens into the country, allowing then to be processed in 3-5 seconds.

This is achieved by sending information about arriving passengers to border guards in advance.

"The information is processed during a flight. Therefore, all border guards need to do when checking documents is to verify that photographs in passports match the faces of the bearers," the statement said.
