The Kherson Merchant Seaport State Enterprise, which is a state-owned stevedoring company at the Kherson seaport, facilitated transshipment of 202,490 tons of cargoes in the period of January-March 2019, the CFTS portal reports, citing data from the seaport.
According to the latest data, transshipment of export cargo in the Kherson seaport totaled 95,770 tons and transshipment of import cargoes 106,720 tons in the period of January-March 2019.
During this period, the state-owned stevedoring company processed 48 ships, 2,216 railcars, and 3,108 trucks.
The state-owned stevedoring company operates the berths Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 at the Kherson seaport.
As the CFTS portal reported earlier, the Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (JSC Ukrzaliznytsia) has explained that it managed to lower the tariff for cargo delivery to the Kherson seaport by launching a route with a tariff distance that is shorter by 64 kilometers.
