Kyivskyi Metropoliten, the municipal enterprise that operates the Kyiv subway system, has invited tenders for construction works involving extension of the Syretsko-Pecherska subway line to the Vynohradar residential district.

According to information posted on the website of the ProZorro electronic public procurement system, the expected cost of the construction work is more than UAH 6.3 billion, the CFTS portal reports.

"Construction of the section of the Syretsko-Pecherska subway line from the Syrets station to the Vynohradar residential district with an electric depot in the Podilskyi district (the section from the Syrets station to Prospect Pravdy station with two stations (Mostyska and Prospekt Pravdy) and a section branching in the direction of the Vynohradar station (Phase I of construction))," the description of the tender announcement posted on January 19 states.

The deadline for submitting bids is February 19. Bidding itself will take place on March 27.

Kyivskyi Metropoliten’s head Viktor Brahynskyi has said that it will be necessary to buy 61 railcars for the launch of subway operations to the Vynohradar residential district.
