Turkish Airlines will operate regular flights on the Mykolaiv-Istanbul route.
The Mykolaiv airport’s Director Fedir Barna announced this on 7 September, the CFTS portal reports.
"After lengthy negotiations with Turkish Airlines, one of the largest airlines in the world, I am pleased to announce the launch of the long-awaited regular flights from the Mykolaiv airport to Istanbul," he wrote on Facebook.
According to Barna, the flights will begin on 23 September, and they will be operated five times per week.
Bees Airline, a Ukrainian airline, recently began flying to the Mykolaiv airport.
Bees Airline and Turkish Airlines previously operated flights to the Kherson airport, but the airport will suspend all operations from September 20 until the end of this year due to the reconstruction of a runway.
