Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) is one of the most punctual airlines at the Minsk airport, avianews.com reports, citing data from the airport.

In the category of airlines that operate 100 or more flights per month, UIA was the most punctual in February with a punctuality index of 88% (95 of its 108 flights were operated on schedule).

In the category of airlines that operate fewer than 100 flights per month, the Latvian airline airBaltic was the most punctual in February. It operated all its 26 flights without delays.

In March, the most punctual were the Russian airline UTair, which operated 114 of its 124 flights on schedule (91.9%), and the Polish airline LOT, which operated 41 of its 44 flights on schedule (93.2%).

The Minsk airport began compiling the punctuality index in February 2016. Winners are selected in two categories – airlines that operate fewer than 100 flights per month and those that operate more than 100 flights per month.

The airport did not disclose its methodology for determining whether a flight is delayed or not. According to international practice, a flight is not considered delayed if its deviation from schedule does not exceed 15 minutes.
