The head of the State Automobile Road Service (Ukravtodor), Slawomir Nowak, and the general director of AzVirt LLC (Azerbaijan) signed a contract for overhaul of an 80-kilometer section of the M-01 Highway that extends from Kyiv to the Kopti transport hub on October 31. The total value of the contract is EUR 131.55 million (excluding VAT). The deadline for performance of the work is 730 days, Ukravtodor announced.

The overhaul of the M-01 highway will be financed with credits from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB).

Nowak announced during the signing ceremony of the contract that 13 companies bid for the project. According to him, the work must be completed within two years.
