The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has allocated UAH 1.060 billion to the State Automobile Road Service (Ukravtodor) for financing road repairs in 2019.
Member of Parliament Oleksii Honcharenko, who attended a government meeting on December 4, announced this in his Telegram channel, the CFTS portal reports.
“The Cabinet of Ministers has added UAH 1.60 billion to Ukravtodor for financing road repairs in 2019 due to Ukravtodor’s savings on loan repayments. The savings resulted from the appreciation of the hryvnia,” he wrote.
As the CFTS portal reported earlier, the government intended to spend up to UAH 26 billion on repair of roads of national importance in 2020.
Asked how the UAH 73 billion allocated for road infrastructure will be distributed next year, Ukrzaliznytsia’s new head Oleksandr Kubrakov said, “It is already less. There was an amendment to the excise tax during the vote on the state budget. Therefore, UAH 7.7 billion will be subtracted. The remaining amount is a little more than UAH 65 billion."
