During the meeting, Balczun noted that Ukrzaliznytsia has already signed a number of memoranda with international manufacturers of locomotives and continues to study proposals from companies. One of the main requirements to a future partner in locomotive manufacturing is a willingness to use modern technology in the Ukrainian factories, the head of Ukrzaliznytsia said.

The meeting was also attended by Jerzy Miller, a member of the group of strategic advisers to Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko.
