The Production Support Center, a division of the Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia), has invited tenders for the supply of railcar sets (1,376 side frames and 688 over-spring beams) for the total amount of UAH 120.53 million.

The CFTS portal reported this, citing the Interfax Ukraine news agency.

According to the information posted in the ProZorro public procurement system, the procurement will be made via a simplified procedure, tenders are to be submitted by August 12, and bidding will be scheduled after 10 August.

The deadline for delivering the products is the end of this year. The terms of the tender do not include 100% prepayment.

According to ProZorro, one of the potential bidders – the Kremenchuk steel smelting plant – demanded that Ukrzaliznytsia make changes to the tender documentation during the pre-bid clarification period. In particular, it demanded that Ukrzaliznytsia raise the expected purchase price "to the market level."

Ukrzaliznytsia has purchased railcar sets on several occasions, particularly from the Kremenchuk steel smelting plant.
