Ukrdorproekt Institute LLC has won the tender for design of a new runway at the Dnipro airport.
The Ministry of Infrastructure announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
"UAH 1.2 billion has already been allocated for design and construction of the Dnipro airport’s airfield. The upgraded airport should become a regional air hub and provide convenient air links. The winner [of the tender for] development of a new runway at the Dnipro airport has finally been announced today. The new runway should be reliable, wear-resistant, safe, and capable of receiving modern passenger aircraft," Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Kryklyi said.
The minister said that the winning company confirmed that it has the relevant experience and qualified personnel capable of quality implementation of a complex technical project in accordance with the design specifications.
“LLC Ukrdorproekt Institute offered to implement the project for UAH 1.979 million less than the expected price of UAH 26.514 million," Kryklyi said.
Four companies participated in the tender. According to the statement, the offers of the first two participants in the tender were rejected because they did not meet the requirements of the tender.
A contract will be signed with the winner of the tender within the period stipulated in the Law of Ukraine on Public Procurement.
As the CFTS portal reported earlier, the fourth consecutive tender for preparation of the design documentation for construction of a new runway at the Dnipro airport was announced on January 21.
The first tender was canceled in late summer 2019 after the Altis Construction company complained that the terms of the tender were discriminatory. On December 17, the tender committee of the state-owned Financing of Infrastructure Facilities company also declared that applications from four companies did not meet the requirements of the tender.
