Repair work on the Zaporizhia airport’s runway will begin in September.
The repair work will begin on September 2 and end on October 15, the airport authority told the CFTS portal.
According to the airport authority, both the airport’s paved and unpaved runways will be closed.
“The administration of the Zaporizhia International Airport announces that repair work on the Zaporizhia airport’s artificial runway will begin at 09:00 local time (06:00 UTC) on September 2. The airport is temporarily closing its artificial and unpaved runways because of this, and it will not receive aircraft that use them for takeoff and landing," the airport said.
As the CFTS portal reported earlier, the Zaporizhia airport will handle flights destined for the Dnipro airport during the reconstruction of the airport.
