The construction of a new passenger terminal at the Zaporizhia International Airport has finally been completed.
Zaporizhia’s Mayor Volodymyr Buriak announced this on his Facebook page, the CFTS portal reports.
“The quarantine that was introduced because of the coronavirus pandemic has shifted the date of commissioning of the new passenger terminal at the Zaporizhia international airport, but its construction has been completed. It only remains to obtain all the relevant documents,” Buriak wrote.
The Zaporizhia mayor added that the terminal has 12,000 square meters of space and a throughput of 400 passengers per hour. In addition, according to him, the terminal can be upgraded to increase its throughput.
"A route from the city center to the airport, on which large buses will be operated for the convenience of passengers, is planned for launch after the terminal opens," Buriak wrote.
As the CFTS portal reported, unusual lighting is installed in the Zaporizhia airport’s new terminal.
