The Pesa company (Poland) will supply 40 low-floor trams to Kyiv before the end of 2017. This is stipulated in the documentation for the relevant tender, which the Polish manufacturer won, the CFTS reports.

The deal will cost UAH 1.813 billion, although Pesa initially offered to supply the trams to Kyiv for UAH 1.846 billion.

The price was lowered during bidding. The Polish company outbid the Ukrainian-German joint venture Elektrontrans (Lviv), which offered to deliver the 40 trams for UAH 1.813 billion and did not lower its price during the bidding.

Ten low-floor trams produced by Pesa are already in operation on Kyiv streets. These trams were delivered in the period of August-December 2016.
