The Antonov state aircraft manufacturing company has installed the tail assembly of a prototype of the An-132D aircraft, thus completing the airframe of the future aircraft, the press service of the company reports.
In the future, PW150A engines manufactured by the Pratt & Whitney company will be installed on the prototype aircraft. This is expected to happen this month, when the engine will be delivered to Ukraine.
As reported, production of the first An-132 is planned to be completed by the end of 2016. Antonov is implementing this project jointly with partners from Saudi Arabia. Companies in Southeast Asia and Latin America are also showing interest in the new aircraft.
