The Boryspil international airport plans to open a bus complex near its terminal D and open new catering centers in the domestic flight area and bus departure gates in early 2016, the Interfax Ukraine news agency reports, citing the press service of the airport.
It also plans to prepare a project for reconstruction of the Apron D. Implementation of a centralized refueling system at Apron D is also planned.
Speaking of the year 2015, the press service of the airport said that the airport implemented only urgently needed projects while maximizing the use of its own resources and those of its subdivisions because it had stopped focusing on "spending" money.
The airport has brought all flights "under one roof" following the completion of the reconstruction the domestic flight area at Terminal D.
In addition, the airport repaired its perimeter fence in 2015, thus improving aviation safety.
The Boryspil international airport is the largest airport in Ukraine. It occupies about 1,000 hectares. The airport has two runways: one with a length of 4,000 meters and a width of 60 meters and another with a length of 3,500 meters and a width of 63 meters. Four passenger terminals and a mail/cargo complex are located on the territory of the airport.
