The Ellinair airline company (Greece) launched flights on the Thessaloniki-Odessa-Thessaloniki route on June 4, the press service of the Odessa airport announced in a statement.

Ninety-six passengers were on the first flight from Odessa to Thessaloniki. There was no free seat on board. The same level of activity was observed on the next flights, the airport said.

The flights will be operated weekly on Wednesdays. Flights on this route will continue until October 1.

The Ellinair airline company is based at the Macedonia International Airport (Thessaloniki). It is part of the Mouzenidis Group, a Greek tourism holding. The airline company was established with the aim of increasing the holding’s own tourist volumes. Ellinair began operating flights to Ukraine this year.
