The state railway administration (Ukrzaliznytsia) introduced the use of using electronic tickets to board the Kiev-Lvov train No. 91/92 on October 29, the press service of the railway administration reports.

Passengers can board trains after buying their train tickets on the internet and printing them on ordinary printers, bypassing the railway ticket office, where tickets are usually printed on official forms.

Processing of electronic tickets stops one hour before the departure of the train from the starting station of the route.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, electronic tickets for the Kiev-Lvov train No. 91/92 have the status of a settlement document (fiscal receipt). These tickets are equipped with a QR codes that train conductors can read with scanners. These codes contain all the required information about a passenger and his trip.

Tickets with QR codes are currently sold on Intercity+ trains from Kiev to Lvov, Kharkov, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhe, and back (manufactured by Hyundai) and from Donetsk and Kharkov to Simferopol and back (Skoda).

In addition, electronic tickets with QR codes are issued for the following night trains: the Donetsk-Kiev train No. 37/38 (from May 18, 2013), the Simferopol-Kiev train No. 11/12 (October 1), and the Kharkov-Kiev train No. 63/64 (from October 18). Similar tickets are scheduled to be introduced for all domestic passenger trains before the end of the year.
