The Kryukov Railcar Building Works increased production of freight cars by 41.7% to 5,237 in 2019, compared with 2018.

This was reported by the Kremenchuk newspaper, the CFTS portal reports.

The Kryukov Railcar Building Works produced 18 passenger cars in 2019, compared with eight in 2018. It has assembled 15 General Electric locomotives since the beginning of 2019, the same number it assembled in 2018.

It was announced at the beginning of 2019 that the Kryukov Railcar Building Works planned to produce the same number of freight cars in 2019 as it produced in 2018 (about 3,700 freight cars) and increase production of passenger cars 4.5-fold to 36.

According to the report, the Kryukov Railcar Building Works increased production of freight cars by 1,673 or 83% to 3,686 in 2018, compared with 2017.

As reported, the Kryukov Railcar Building Works built a new three-car DPKr-3 diesel train in 2019. This train began operating on the route between Kyiv’s Central Railway Station and the airport Boryspil on December 27.
