The Lemtrans company, the largest private operator of railcars in Ukraine, recently celebrated its 24th founding anniversary.
Since then, Lemtrans has transported almost 800 million tons of cargo, the company told the CFTS portal.
In addition, the company has made investments worth more than USD 530 million.
As reported previously, the company invested about UAH 100 million in the development of the railcar repair depot in Kamianske in the 15 years before the beginning of the full-scale war.
The Russian occupiers destroyed the Volnovakha railcar depot, which was one of the company's most important railcar repair facilities, at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Lemtrans invested over UAH 65 million in its development.
Last year, the company continued to expand its railcar fleet. In addition to traditional gondola cars, it purchased over 240 flatcars.
In total, Lemtrans invested UAH 306 million in the development of projects in Ukraine in 2022. One of the company’s key areas of investment in 2022 was container transportation. In particular, the Lemtrans Group, which includes the Levada Cargo freight forwarding company, launched the Mostyska cargo terminal on the Ukrainian-Polish border jointly with a partner.
