The Motor Sich corporation (Zaporozhye) has denied the possibility of moving production to Russia, aex.ru reports.

"The question of moving the assembling plant to Russia or a third country is not being considered," the press service of the corporation said.

Earlier, the deputy director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, Konstantin Biriulin, said that Motor Sich’s General Director Viacheslav Bohuslaev was exploring the possibility of moving the corporation’s engine assembling plant to Russia or a third country in order to preserve its Russian market.

Motor Sich engages in manufacture, repair, and maintenance of gas-turbine engines for airplanes and helicopters. The corporation’s products are in operation in 106 countries. Motor Sich signed a five-year contract worth USD 1.5 billion annually with the Helicopters of Russia company in November 2011, under which it will deliver up to 270 engines for the Ka-31, Ka-32, Mi-17, Mi-8 MTV, Mi-24, and Mi-28 helicopters to Russia.
