The Odesa airport’s new terminal will now handle passengers on arriving flights in addition to passengers on departing flights.
The airport announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
The new terminal began handling departing flights on July 18.
According to the Odesa airport’s Director Pavlo Prusak, the transfer of departing flights to the new terminal will be completed within a few months. Domestic flights will first be transferred to the new terminal, followed by international flights.
The new terminal building has 29,000 square meters of space. The terminal is expected to be able to serve 1,000 passengers per hour and about 3 million passengers per year in the future.
The new terminal of the Odesa airport began handling passengers on April 15, 2017. The terminal began handling passengers on international flights in September of the same year.
