Thirty-two trams that do not belong to Kharkiv are operating on the city’s tramlines. The city's transport enterprises lease the trams, the Kharkiv city council’s transport department told the CFTS portal in response to an information request.
In total, 276 tramcars were in operation in Kharkiv as of February 20, of which 256 were in good condition.
"In total, 244 tram cars are on the books of municipal electric transport enterprises and 32 are leased. Out of the 276 tram cars that are used in the city, 256 are in operation," the Kharkiv city council’s transport department said.
According to the Kharkiv city council’s transport department, municipal transport enterprises did not receive new trams in 2017 due to their high cost.
As the CFTS portal reported, Prague donated 10 used trams to Mariupol in 2017.
