The volume of passenger traffic through the Kharkiv airport increased by 5% to 126,900 in June 2021, compared with 121,400 in the corresponding period in pre-COVID 2019.

According to the Kharkiv airport, this is the first time that the volume of passenger traffic through the airport has increased since the beginning of the pandemic, the CFTS portal reports.

The number of passengers on domestic flights handled by the airport reduced by 44% to 10,500 in June 2021, compared with 18,900 in June 2019, while the number on international flights it handled increased by 14% to 116,400 in June 2021, compared with 102,500 in June 2019.

The number of departures increased by 15% compared with 2019. In total, 587 flights were performed in June 2021, compared with 510 in June 2019. In particular, the airport handled 368 international flights and 219 domestic flights.

The most popular destinations from the airport are currently Antalya, Istanbul, Bodrum, Dalaman, and Kyiv.

As the CFTS portal reported earlier, the volume of passenger traffic through the Zaporizhia airport was 66,700 in June 2021, which is 42% more than the volume in June 2019.

The Boryspil airport handled 3,396,944 passengers in the first six months of this year, which is 35% more than the number it handled in the corresponding period in 2020. However, the airport's passenger volume in the first six months of this year is still low compared with the pre-pandemic volume (the airport handled 6.7 million passengers in the first six months of 2019).
