On the night of July 19, Russia carried out targeted air attacks on grain terminals in the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk.
As a result, the grain infrastructure belonging to International and Ukrainian traders and carriers Kernel, Viterra, and the CMA CGM Group suffered damage.
The previous night, the infrastructure related to the grain corridor was targeted and the reservoirs and berths at the port of Odesa were damaged as a result of the attack.
"The attack on grain terminals is an aggressive act against the world. The goal of russian actions is to disrupt grain supply routes to global markets. This terrorist state is not only at war with Ukraine but also with the people of Africa and Asia, for whom this grain is a matter of survival. Protecting the grain and port infrastructure is essential for peace and, above all, for ensuring global food security," said Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister for Communities and Territories Development and Infrastructure of Ukraine.
As the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskiy said, "Russian terrorists absolutely deliberately targeted the infrastructure of the grain agreement, and every Russian missile is a blow not only to Ukraine, but also to everyone in the world who seeks a normal and safe life".
