The Russian military is using the seaport in the temporarily occupied city of Skadovsk (Kherson region) as a base for the placement of military equipment.

Mayor of Skadovsk Oleksandr Yakovlev announced this, the CFTS portal reports, citing Radio Liberty.

"The port is not in operation, no ships are calling there. The Russian military is stationed on the territory of the port, they place their equipment there, and it is impossible to get into the port now. The employees who worked there are not going to work," Yakovlev said.

The mayor of Skadovsk added that the port’s structures were not seriously damaged during shelling. "Because they aimed at enemy equipment and not the port’s infrastructure. Therefore, everything is stable on the territory of the port," he said.
