The ports of Mariupol and Berdiansk have been added to the Russian Register of Seaports, and the process of adding a section of the navigable waterways in the Kherson region to the "List of Internal Waterways of the Russian Federation" has begun.

Russia’s Minister of Transport Vitaly Saveliev announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.

"The ports of Mariupol and Berdiansk have been added to the Russian Register of Seaports... The process of adding the navigable section of the waterways of the Kherson region to the List of Inland Waterways of the Russian Federation has also begun," he said.

As the CFTS portal reported earlier, the Russians are exporting ore from the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories through the Mariupol seaport.

Russia seized the Zaporizhia iron ore plant, from which it exports ore through the port of Mariupol, almost a year ago. The stolen Ukrainian ore is sold by entities linked to Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), under the patronage of which the looting of Ukrainian mineral resources is taking place.

In addition, the Russian occupiers continue exporting grain from the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories to Syria. The stolen grain is transported in two ways. The first way is by rail from Tokmak to Berdiansk, from where it is transported through the Berdiansk seaport to the Syrian port of Tartus. The second way is transportation of the grain to the port of Sevastopol in the Crimea, from where it is transported to the port of Tartus.
