Seven Ukrainian airlines have agreed new air routes within Ukraine and abroad, the press office of the Ministry of Infrastructure reports, citing a decision by the Commission on Operation of Air Lines that was later approved by the ministry.
In total, the carriers were granted permission to operate flights to 23 domestic and 29 international destinations.
Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) was granted permission to operate regular flights from Kiev to Lankaran and Nakhchivan (both in Azerbaijan) and from Kharkov and Lvov to Batumi (Georgia).
The Dniproavia airline company was granted permission to operate regular flights on 20 routes from Kharkov, Ivano-Frankovsk, and Dnepropetrovsk. these routes include: from Kharkov to Yerevan (Armenia), Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi (Georgia), Burgas and Varna (Bulgaria), Baku (Azerbaijan), and Moscow (Russia); from Ivano-Frankovsk to Vienna (Austria), Varna and Burgas (Bulgaria), Tel Aviv (Israel), Milan (Italy), Riga (Latvia), Hamburg (Germany), Bucharest (Romania), Warsaw (Poland), and St. Petersburg (Russia); from Dnepropetrovsk to Burgas and Varna (Bulgaria).
The Yanair airline company was granted permission to operate to operate flights from Kiev to Larnaca (Cyprus) and Batumi, as well as from Kiev to Odessa and Kharkiv.
The UmAir airline company was granted permission to operate flights from Kiev to Baghdad (Iraq).
Motor Sich will be able to operate flights to Kiev from Zaporozhye, Uzhgorod, Lugansk, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Lvov, Donetsk, and Kherson.
The Atlasjet Ukraine airline company was granted permission to operate flights to 11 domestic destinations: from Kiev to Lvov, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Ternopol, Kharkov, Kherson, Chernovtsy, Donetsk, Lugansk, and Simferopol.
The Urga company was granted permission to operate flights on the Kiev-Lvov route from June 18.
The commission also granted the Urga and Krunk airline companies permission to operate flights out of Ukraine.
